Cholpon Chotaeva is Doctor of History, Professor at the Department of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Coordinator of Peace and Conflict Studies Concentration at the American University of Central Asia, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Her research and teaching interests include the issues of ethnicity and nationalism, peace studies, history of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia, Middle East and Japan.
